Fentanyl (PFTY) Liquid & Powder Drug Test Strips are harm reduction tools designed to detect the presence of fentanyl and its analogs in suspicious substances. They provide rapid, presumptive results within 1 to 5 minutes, helping users make safer, informed decisions.
How They Work
- Detection: They identify fentanyl down to very low concentrations (typically 200 ng/mL for liquid/powder samples).
- Variants: Many strips detect fentanyl and dozens of its analogs, like carfentanil.
- Limitations: They only detect the presence of fentanyl. They do not evaluate overall drug purity, safety, or quantity.
Testing Procedure (For Powders and Liquids)
- Prepare the sample: Place a small amount of the substance (5–10 mg) into a clean container, or add about 10 drops of water directly to an empty baggie.
- Mix: Add approximately 5 mL (1 tsp) of water to the substance and stir completely until dissolved.
